At Utilligence, we’ve been busy expanding our list of UK and international projects and have also been growing Palau Solar, and developing an exciting new venture that we will be unveiling soon. Our core UK team has also been working diligently towards obtaining two important regulatory certifications: ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. These certifications showcase our commitment to environmental sustainability, occupational health and safety, and customer satisfaction.
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management, which demonstrates our commitment to sustainable practices and reducing our environmental impact. Achieving this certification required a rigorous assessment of our environmental management systems, and we are proud to have met the high standards needed to obtain it.
In addition, we have also achieved ISO 45001 certification, which is a globally recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This certification shows our commitment to ensuring the continued health and safety of our employees, customers, and project partners.
These certifications represent a significant milestone for our company and form the cornerstone of our ongoing commitment to implementing safe business practices, to deliver sustainable and safe solutions to our global customers.
Achieving ISO 14001
ISO 14001 certification sets out the requirements for an effective environmental management system. It helps us to minimise our environmental impact and reduce waste, whilst demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.
To achieve ISO 14001 certification, Utilligence had to demonstrate that we have implemented an effective environmental management system, which is regularly reviewed and improved upon.
It provides us with a framework to identify and manage our impact on the environment and helps us to reduce waste, save energy, and manage resources more efficiently. Of course, we must also continue to comply with relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. For Utilligence, connecting green power to the national grid and finding more efficient power solutions for our customers is central to our ambitions of building a more sustainable future. Our certification demonstrates this commitment to our customers and assures them of a professional and regulated partner when working with us.
Achieving ISO 45001
ISO 45001 is an international standard that sets out the requirements for an effective occupational health and safety management system (OH&S MS). It provides a framework for us to identify and manage occupational health and safety risks, and to create a safe and healthy workplace for our employees.
To achieve ISO 45001 certification, Utilligence had to demonstrate that we had implemented an effective OH&S MS, tailored to our specific needs and context. This included identifying and managing OH&S hazards and risks, setting OH&S objectives and targets, and regularly reviewing and improving our performance.
This certification is an important step in continuing our safe and healthy workplace practices. It gives us a framework for continuous improvement and helps us to manage OH&S risks and hazards more effectively.
Delivering Measurable Success
These certifications benefit our customers in a number of ways. Firstly, it gives them the assurance that we take our environmental and occupational health and safety responsibilities seriously, and that we are committed to continually improving our performance in these areas. Secondly, it demonstrates that we have a robust and effective management system in place, which helps us to manage risk, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. This can help to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase customer satisfaction. This commitment to growth and improvement is something that we believe sets us apart from our competitors, and it is something that we are proud to demonstrate to our customers.
We will continue to work hard to maintain and improve upon these standards, and we look forward to working with our customers to help them achieve their own sustainability goals when they choose to partner with Utilligence.
We would like to thank our team for their hard work and dedication in achieving these certifications. We are proud of what we have accomplished so far, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue on our path of ongoing improvement with the implementation of these externally-recognised management systems.
